Groupe des Ensembles Media

Approved by the EBU Radio Committee, to whom it reports, the Media Ensemble Group is made up of volunteering Member representatives forming a core group of orchestra managers who are extremely active in their support of EBU media orchestra activities. This small group of six people work for the wider Media Ensemble Community which covers all ensembles from EBU organizations, whatever the format.

The priorities of the Group, determined together with the EBU Music team, are as follows:

1. Discover what it means to be a “media ensemble”, including technological advances and digitization.
2. Increase interaction and collaboration between ensembles and parent radio organizations.
3. Focus on diversity and inclusivity in all our activities.
4. Conduct data collection initiatives benefitting the whole community, enriching our common knowledge about this unique network of EBU ensembles.

The Group meets online once every 6 to 8 weeks and helps organize a Media Ensemble Seminar twice a year, whether hybrid or fully online.
