Organization Design Group Workshop

The EBU Transformation Services and ZDF bring you a workshop to dive into the future shape and operations of public service media (PSM) organizations. We are gathering at ZDF in Mainz, Germany, to examine the trends, drivers, and pitfalls when designing and implementing new organization structures and ways of working. 

The Organization Design Group is a small and focused network of PSM peers working directly on the structures, roles, and processes needed for success in today’s ever-changing environment. Our meetings are small and targeted, with a focus on deep conversations and exchanges.  

This two-day workshop will take place on Tuesday 29 (9:00 to 17:30) and Wednesday 30 October 2024 (9:00 to 15:30) at ZDF in Mainz. Our host will share a close look at the major new strategy and organizational changes they are undergoing. 

The way PSM are organized internally is the backbone of any transformation. In 2022, EBU Transformation Services brought together 10 EBU Members to look into the big structural questions faced by PSM as they transform (more information here). In 2023, the session was followed up at the BBC (more information here) where workflows, the organization of teams, and how leadership impacts the transformation of PSM were explored.
