The Eurovision Song Contest (ESC) continues to captivate audiences around the world, offering EBU Members a cost-effective primetime Saturday night show, and two Semi-Finals, with guaranteed mass viewing.
No other brand compares. An estimated audience of 182 million viewers watched the 2019 Eurovision Song Contest which was broadcast live in the 41 participating countries and across the world via YouTube.
Over 64 years, the Eurovision Song Contest has grown to become the world's biggest live music event: the contest has become a modern classic, strongly embedded in Europe’s collective culture and now seen across the globe.
The 65th Contest will take place on 18, 20 and 22 May in Rotterdam. 39 EBU Members and Associates will take part in three live shows from the Rotterdam Ahoy. The Contest will be hosted by NPO, NOS and AVROTROS. More details on the event can be found here.
Israel hosted the 64th Eurovision Song Contest in Tel Aviv after Netta Barzilai gave her country its 4th win in Lisbon in May with "Toy". 41 EBU Members and Associates took part. The three live shows took place at Tel Aviv Expo on 14, 16 and 18 May 2019 under the theme "Dare to Dream". Duncan Lawrence from the Netherlands gave his country its first win for 44 years when his song "Arcade" triumphed.
