Eurovision Choir
Eurovision Choir 2019, Gothenburg, Sweden

Eurovision Choir is the TV talent competition format for amateur choirs. It brings together Europe's best amateur vocal groups in an exciting competition that celebrates different traditions, languages and the joy of singing.

Top-class non-professional choirs or a capella ensemble are selected by their national broadcasters to compete for their country and perform an unaccompanied selection of music of approximately 4 minutes in a variety of styles.

A jury consisting of the choral music world’s most prominent names deliberates on the final winner.  The format also features non-competition musical sequences where popular music is performed by the massed choirs on stage.

This eclectic and colourful competition for amateur choirs first took place in 2017 in Riga, Latvia and was won by Slovenia’s Carmen Manet.

The second edition took place in Gothenburg, Sweden in 2019 and was won by Denmark’s Vocal Line. The full show can be watched here.
