The projects submission window (4 weeks) for both EDS and regular projects is now open!  The deadline for submissions is Monday 30 September.

CALL FOR SUBMISSIONS

Here is the procedure to submit the projects you have in development, and you’d like to pitch to your peers. The deadline for submissions is Monday 30 September, don’t miss it!

  • Fill in the SUBMISSION FORM (one for each project),
  • Add a TREATMENT - 4 pages max. (longer ones might not be considered)
  • Send BOTH, the submission form and the treatment, as WORD documents to Karen Simha
  • The number of projects to be submitted by a single broadcaster is max. 3
  • DEADLINE: Monday 30 September at the latest.

Guidelines and procedures (incl. pitching/selection rules and projects criteria) are available on the EDS page. For an overview, please check on the submission form (both for REGULAR and EDS/Big 5 projects). Should you need advice on how to prepare your project proposal, please reach out to the Board members.

SUBMISSION GUIDELINES AND CRITERIA

  • To submit a project, either regular or EDS, the Lead Broadcaster (LB) needs to fill in the (new) Submission Form
  • Projects can only be submitted by the LB acting as EBU Member representative, during the submissions window,
  • The LB is the one deciding to submit a project as a REGULAR or EDS one.
  • A single project can only be submitted in one of the two categories (e.g. EDS vs. regular).
  • A broadcaster cannot submit more than 3 projects in total.
  • It’s up to the Lead Broadcaster (LB) to decide whether he applies for EDDS (development loan) or EDPS (production contribution), or both, one following the other, this depending on the status of the project and its ambitions.

Lead Broadcasters whose projects are selected for the pitch will be informed on Tuesday 8 October while the complete selection of projects and the meeting's agenda will be made public by Thursday 17 October. Registrations for the event will open at the same time.

During the meeting, we will proceed with the election of a new board (two-year mandate). Learn more about what sitting on the board entails and related procedures. EBU Members/broadcasters representatives wishing to join the Documentary board are invited to get in touch with Karen Simha by Tuesday 1 October.
